Colouring-in Team

Using a green oak sleeper purchased from a garden centre, I cut and planed and chiselled and made a wall-mountable beam to sit above our fireplace. It took more than a few hours to plane the rough oak beam into the smooth piece you see here, but it was incredibly satisfying to sweep away at the dirty, stained outer surface and reveal the beautiful grain beneath.
